The MUKTI Project was established in 1998 by the Traditional Yoga Association® to support the education and care of impoverished and endangered children and women in India. We donate to several projects, including:

• Karm Marg, a home for street children near Delhi, that is led by the children themselves and provides holistically for their education and care.
• Sukhsandhya, a home for older women who are given rufuge from living on the street by Maher, the largest shelter in India for battered women and their children.
• Charities for homeless people in the UK.

None of the money MUKTI raises for projects in India goes to salaries in the UK. Everyone who works for MUKTI does so as a volunteer.
